Our pilot study was designed to benefit women in regional, rural and remote areas by reducing the cost of their Telehealth menopause consultations.
One of the barriers to affordable Telehealth services is the lack of Medicare rebates for consultations provided by specialist General Practitioners.
Some information and opinions collected during our Pilot Study will be used to lobby government for access to Telehealth rebates. We will also be investigating the effectiveness of health messaging to women in rural and remote areas; this will help guide the way healthcare messages are communicated in the future.
Yes. Only anonymous data and opinions will be presented publicly. WellFemme will retain and protect women’s personal information for survey follow-up and healthcare-related communication only. We do not share or divulge your information to any other entity or person.
The information provided will contribute to lobbying efforts by organisations representing sub-specialist GP’s. Hopefully the Government will then extend MBS rebates to include Telehealth consultations provided by GP-led services like WellFemme.
Click here for our online petition demanding Medicare rebates for specialised Telehealth services delivered by GP’s (like WellFemme). Please take a moment to sign and share it with your friends, so that all Australians can access specialised health services via Telehealth at an affordable price.
If you can’t find a doctor who is confident in advising about menopause symptom treatment then book a convenient Telehealth consultation with one of WellFemme’s expert menopause doctors.
