Our doctors are a group with higher than average knowledge and experience in menopausal treatments, however they are General Practitioners: not endocrinologists, gynaecologists, haematologists or psychiatrists. No. It can be discussed in the context of your menopausal transition, including the possible contributors and management strategies. Medico-legally, WellFemme doctors can only prescribe medications related to your peri/ menopause care, and only after a full assessment of your symptoms and medical history. It is potentially unsafe for them to re-prescribe medications that were prescribed elsewhere for other purposes, such as weight loss or blood pressure medication; these require monitoring by a consistent practitioner, and are outside WellFemme’s scope of practice.
