FAQ's

Still have questions? Our FAQ section covers what’s included, how to book, and when to schedule your next consultation.

A review consultation provides an opportunity to discuss your symptoms, treatment progress, and overall wellbeing. It may include:

  • Reviewing any changes in symptoms (such as hot flushes, mood, or sleep)

  • Assessing how current treatments or lifestyle strategies are working

  • Discussing side effects or new concerns

  • Adjusting medication or treatment plans if needed

  • Providing guidance on ongoing management and next steps

This helps ensure your menopause care remains personalised, effective, and up to date.

Follow-up timing depends on your symptoms and treatment plan. Generally:

  • After starting a new treatment (such as hormonal treatment), a review is recommended after 6–12 weeks to check progress and adjust dosage if needed.

  • Once symptoms are stable, follow-up every 6–12 months helps monitor ongoing health and ensure treatment remains effective.

  • Annual review is recommended as a minimum for those on stable treatment, to assess any changes in other medications, medical conditions and screening activities.

  • Book sooner if you experience new or worsening symptoms or side effects.

Regular reviews help keep your menopause care safe, balanced, and tailored to your needs.

Yes. You can change your WellFemme doctor at any time if you’d like a second opinion or feel another practitioner may better suit your needs. The new doctor will need to fully assess your issues and decide whether a change in treatment approach is required, so you will need to pay for a new long initial consultation.

Yes. Your menopause care plan may evolve as your symptoms, hormone levels, and health needs change. What works well at one stage may need adjustment later. Regular reviews allow your healthcare provider to:

  • Fine-tune medication or dosages

  • Add or remove treatments as symptoms improve or new ones appear

  • Incorporate lifestyle or wellness strategies for ongoing support

A flexible plan ensures your treatment remains safe, effective, and tailored to your current stage of menopause.

Yes, Medicare rebates are available for eligible Medicare card holders who are in Australia at the time of their consultation.
