WellFemme Telehealth Menopause Clinic Named ACT Winner in Telstra Best of Business Awards – “Championing Health”

Canberra, ACT – 3rd October – WellFemme, Australia’s most trusted Telehealth menopause clinic, has been announced as the ACT Winner of the prestigious Telstra Best of Business Awards in the “Championing Health” category.

Dr. Kelly Teagle’s own struggles with infertility, early menopause, and breast cancer inspired her to create WellFemme, Australia’s first dedicated Telehealth menopause clinic. As a GP and newly- single mother at 42 she went through early menopause with severe mood symptoms, learning just how isolating and misunderstood the menopause journey can be. She also noticed that many women travelled long distances to her menopause clinic for care that could have been just as effectively delivered online.

In 2018, long before COVID made Telehealth mainstream, Dr Teagle launched WellFemme from her bedroom office, with only a few patients at first. The pandemic accelerated its growth, and Medicare rebates soon made services more accessible. Today WellFemme has a team of 20 part-time doctors and nurses supported by 10 staff, caring for thousands of women nationwide, including in remote areas where specialist support can be hard to find.

Recognised in the 2025 Telstra Best of Business Awards, WellFemme is now Australia’s fastest growing and most trusted online menopause clinic, championing “slow medicine” built on listening, validation, and shared decision-making.  “This recognition is not only a huge honour for our team, but also recognition of the importance and impact that quality clinical care has at this stage of life for women; it truly sets them up for better healthy aging,” said Dr. Teagle. “We’re proud to deliver accessible options for women in all regions of Australia. WellFemme aims to treat every woman with the respect, support, and individualised care she deserves.”

The Telstra Best of Business Awards celebrate small and medium businesses that are driving innovation, growth, and community impact across Australia. As the state winner of the Championing Health category, WellFemme will progress to represent the ACT at the National Telstra Best of Business Awards in November.
